Ranked at 41, Anna Wintour’s is the first fashionable name in Forbes’s annual list – just one place after HM The Queen. Climbing 10 places since last year’s list, the 63-year-old British-born editor of US Vogue recently took on the role of artistic director at Condé Nast, a factor highlighted by the business magazine.
Not far behind Wintour at 52 comes another quick decision-maker: Burberry CEO Angela Ahrendts, who is credited with revitalising the storied British brand.
Further down the list features the billionaire designers and retailers with Miuccia Prada at 58; Inditex co-founder Rosalia Mera at 66; new billionaire Tory Burch at 69 and loveable New York Fashion Week star Diane Von Furstenberg at 74. The title has also ranked the world’s youngest self-made female billionaire, Spanx founder Sara Blakely, at 90.
Gisele Bundchen meanwhile, is the only model to make the list. Ranked in 95th position, the Brazilian face of Chanel beauty is described as the “most powerful supermodel” with the additional job titles of “entrepreneur” and “philanthropist” also featuring.
